....Talks on areas of mutual benefit top agenda

In a bid to strengthen collaboration and explore areas of mutual benefit, the Branch Manager of TAJ Bank, Uyo, Mr. Precious Effiong, on Monday, October 13, 2025, paid a visit to the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, Comrade Nsibiet John in his office.


Comrade John who warmly received the bank Executive expressed appreciation to TAJ Bank for its professional approach to service delivery. He appreciated him and his team for their commitment to transparency, strong reputation, and dedication to customer satisfaction, urging the bank’s management and staff to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence.


The NUJ Chairman conducted the Bank Chief on an inspection tour of the ongoing construction of the Football Court in the premises, supervised by a member of the Union, Comrade Godwin Akpan of For the Love of Nigeria (FLON), where he explained that the project is designed to promote youth development through sports while also serving as a recreational facility for pupils of the Fourth Estate International School.


Earlier, Mr. Precious Effiong commended Comrade John for his exemplary leadership and the visible transformation at the NUJ Secretariat within a short period in office. 


He said the partnership with the Media is for mutual benefit which will help strengthen institutions and drive lasting impact, adding that TAJ Bank is open to initiatives that promote financial inclusion, media development, and community growth.


He noted that TAJ Bank values partnerships that foster social and professional advancement and expressed readiness to collaborate with the Union on initiatives that will be of mutual benefit to both journalists, the financial Institution and members of the Public.
